mSB - Pair up Project!

During the month of March we paired up for projects over at myStampBox. I was paired up with the lovely and talented Ally. For our projects, and since it was on St. Patrick's day, we decided to use that as our theme for the post. I created a glass using the mini alphas set and the Lots of Dots alphabets.

We are looking for new Designers to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about our stamps, love to stamp, are a good team player, and know a thing or two about blogging, you are the right match for us! We are interested in designers with a variety of styles who can creatively showcase myStamp BOX designs in their layouts, cards, altered art and other projects. No previous design team experience is necessary. International applicants are welcome to apply.

Our Term is 6 months from April 1st, 2011 to September 30th, 2011.

Team requirements:

* 4 projects per month

* 1 blog entry per month including good quality photos of a project and instructions/tutorial

* Upload all projects to the myStamp BOX website gallery and other online galleries

I have created some valentines for my little girls that I teach tap to. They are very simple but I was able to use 3 of myStampBox sets on them. For the letters I used the Lots of Dots set, the heart is from the Bits and Pieces set and the lace looking border is from the new Graphic Borders set.

To give the tag some extra sparkle I added some bling to the border and some stickles to the edge of the heart and the edge of one of the blue flowers. I know blue is not a traditional valentines colour but I thought it was fun to add this colour to help break up the pink.

I was inspired by the colours, the heart shape and the swirls in the roses. For this card I used the Sigh Gush Gasp set for my sentiment and the Bits and Pieces set for my heart.

Project Day at My StampBox!

Tuesday is project day over at myStampBox and it was my day to post! I decided to create a LO for my project using papers from the Pink Paislee Parisian Anothology and My Minds Eye lines. These papers and embellishments are from the monthly Scrap That Kits, I love these kits! This was a dance photo of me that was done a year ago.

LCOM Card Challenge - Image Inspiration!!

This week's challenge over at LCOM is to use this image of my boots as inspiration for your card! Everytime I look at this picture I just want to go put the boots on and walk around in them, just love them!

I took my inspiration from the colours in the boot and the textured flower. I used a canvas flower on my card for texture and made it the focal point of my card just like it is on the boot. I also used card patterns sketch #78 for this card.

This week over at LCOM the card team has another fabulous challenge for you!!! This week you need to dust off those punches and die cutting machines!!! It is all about using die cuts and punches!! On my card I used a pre-made die cut from the pink paislee queen bee line and then punched a butterfly out using coordinating paper. The design for this card is a great way to use up scraps for a coordinating line of paper!

A couple of weeks ago I was in the final 8 for The Studio design team. I was not selected for the team but felt so honoured to be part of the final 8. Tip: to help make your own embellishments on a LO use some of your PP. Here I cut out flowers from the sheets of PP to use as my flower and vine embellishments. Here is the LO I created for this, it had to be one of the bravest things you have ever done. For me that was auditioning for so you think you can dance and being rejected. It was a let down but I was glad I was brave enough to do it!

LCOM Surprise DT!!!

I was asked to be part of the surprise DT for LCOM for June!! LCOM is secretly choosing a few of their members each month for the summer to be a part of the DT. The most amazing boots ever and a RAK!!!!

On Sunday, I went down to visit my parents. They live right on the boarder of maine so we went shopping in Calais, ME. We went to wal-mart and Mardens. I just love mardens so many great deals to be had!! Well I found these awesome Kelsi Dagger boots!!! I instantly fell in love with them!! I think part of it has to be the huge flower on the side!!! It reminded me of the fabulous flowers Prima sells.

In honor of these fabulous boots I am offering up a RAK for a package of Prima Flowers to anyone who leaves a comment here as to which prima flowers are their favorite. My challenge for this week for the LCOM card team was to re-use something that you got in the mail, out and about during your christmas shopping, etc and incorporate it into your Christmas card! A Local Crop!!!!!!!

A group I run at KVHS is hosting a crop on Saturday, Dec. 5th in Quispamsis, NB at Kennebecasis Valley High school from 9am-5pm in the cafeteria. The cost is $25 dollars and includes a light breakfast, lunch and door prizes! All the money raised will go to help send students to the Josten's National Renaissance Conference. Ok ladies I have been slacking on the blog posts and I do apologize for that! I have been very busy at work but here is what you have missed! Last Monday's challenge was to make gift tags or gift card holders, here are mine that I whipped up!

The week before that challenge was to create a sympathy card. Here is mine using some basic grey ambrosia papers and I also used sketch #40 I believe it was, from Card Patterns. I love this paper line!

LCOM Card Team call!!!

We are looking to add two new card makers to our present team. This is a 4 month term which will begin on December 1st and end on March 31st. International applicants are welcome. To apply, please email me three of your favorite cards before midnight (AST) on November 23rd, (these do not have to be new) at darlenedeon@ns.sympatico.ca.
